(a letter from our friend and MWOS client)

THE DAY THAT CHANGED MY LIFE!!

Six years ago, I methodically packed up 50+ years of a busy, well-lived life and moved back home to New England, because our new home is much smaller than the one we left, man of our belongings remained in those carefully-packed boxes – until today.

I procrastinated for years about tackling the massive job of unpacking – for that would mean having to part with some of my precious stuff! I mean, what would I do without my 400 cookbooks? My 4 sizes of outdated clothes? My old magazines, catalogues, and work files? My floppy disks and dried up printer cartridges? A hundred pairs of knitting needles and 15 tubs of yarn? My 50 favorite bottles of nail polish? Half a store aisle of fabric and thread? Stacked up funiture waiting for a bigger house? And more recently added “pharmacy” of Covid tests, hand sanitizer (gallons!) and masks!

And then – out of the blue – I have had a medical scare which prompted me to finally want to deal with the physical chaos surrounding me – not only for my own peace of mind, but for those I might leave behind one day. I knew that even with my husband’s help, I could not physically or emotionally handle this job.

That’s when I called Muffy (MWOS) in a panic and said “HELP!”

Her response was automatic and immediately calming. ♡

Today, with patience, kindness and occasional much-needed hugs, Muffy and Danielle guided me gently through the process of letting go. And in spite of the obvious hoarding environment, with scattered surprise evidence of mice (Eww! Who knew?), they never made me feel judged or pressured.

They are experts at what they do and their help was invaluable. But the emotional support was truly what I needed, and they knew intuitively exactly how to handle me! And now, in what felt like no time at all, my home feels lighter, my mind clearer, my future brighter – MY HOME WORKS!

I am deeply grateful for MWOS and impressed with their compassion and skill. I am overwhelmed with relief and gratitude!

Thank you, Muffy and Danielle! Thank you, MWOS!
